The birth of KAAI

It's hard to keep on top of the demands of life if you can't find what you need in a moment's notice. Wading through old receipts, notes, tissues and lipstick in search for a pen can be stressful and time-consuming. 

KAAI has discovered the solution for the black hole effect within handbags. Stuff is lost in the chaos of it-bags, while practical and compartmentalized handbags often appear unattractive. KAAI offers you different models in various colors: the (mini) hero, (midi) pyramid and Hoxton.

Most designers collect trend reports, create mood and color boards before designing their new collection. Helga and Ine, the founders of Kaai, used other techniques: using data analytics,  interviews and focus groups with women about their relationship with their bag, they started drawing the first bag. The result is the Hero KAAI bag in which, among 13 compartments are provided.

• Laptop compartment

Your laptop is a very valuable asset. That is why you want to carry it well protected. Thanks to the padded and soft lining of the laptop compartment in the KAAI bag, it is no longer necessary to place your laptop in an extra cover. You can carry a 13inch laptop or tablet (L 31,5 cm x H 22 cm x W 2,5 cm padded laptop sleeve) and close it with the elastic closure with Velcro to protect your laptop.

• Key leash

The detachable leather key leash is extra-long and is a handy accessory that allows you to quickly find your keys in your purse. 
You can easily lock your door without taking your keys off. 

• Large interior safety pocket

The double zipper offers you protection for your valuable belongings. This way you can place your bank card, cash or checks in the security pocket and carry the Hero on your back with confidence.

• 6 Inner pockets

The inner pockets can be used for your phone, notebook, power bank or for so many other items. No more endless digging with KAAI's easy access front pocket: fits all the bits you want to keep close at hand. 

• Very unique and only in the KAAI bag: Jewelry pocket

During the interviews, Helga and Ine discovered a lot of jewels at the bottom of the bags. There had to be found a solution, namely a small leather bag that easily closes with a push button.  As a business woman you are always on the go and with this pocket it is safe to exchange your jewelry throughout the day. You can, for example, store a pair of earrings to change a daytime look for a night out or store it safely during the journey during the security check.

• Glasses holder

Reading glasses, sunglasses, spare glasses ... everything neatly gets a place inside the Hero bag. This compartment is  made deeper so that your glasses with case are fitting perfectly. Do you never put your glasses  in a case?  No problem, due to the soft micro-suede of the inner lining your glasses will be protected. The process of searching, opening, closing and using is reduced to one movement.

It also features the visit card holder sleeves, 2 pen holders / lip gloss holder and a special bottle/cable/umbrella holder.  Moreover, the bag has a shoulder strap that can be quickly adjusted to backpack straps. Oh, and did I mention that the leather is water, scratch and color resistant? They really thought of everything.

Why is KAAI unique? 

The interior of the bag consists of micro suede, which is soft on the hand and protects your laptop and other stuff against bumps and scratches. The unique color blue  ensures that you immediately have a good overview of what is in your bag.

The outside of the handbag is made  of 100% luxury Italian leather that is due to an innovative technology resistant to scratches, water and colorfading.  A small stain can easily be removed with a slightly damp cloth. This keeps your Hero always beautiful and neat, even in the color paper white! Each KAAI bag has a reinforced bottom so that it does not fall over and the studs at the bottom avoid damage on the corners of the bag.
