KAAI Bags is a growing premium handbag brand with international ambitions. Kaai bags have a purpose. They are designed by women for women. Today KAAI is a scale-up, you’ll work with about 10 colleagues at the headquarters in Antwerp,

At the heart of everything we do is the KAAI women community — ambitious, professional women who inspire our products, our storytelling and our growth. Our marketing is built with this community, not just for it.

We are looking for a hands-on Head of Brand, Marketing & E-commerce who understands how to build a brand through community, creativity and execution, and who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.

This role is part of the management team, works closely with the founders and plays a key role in shaping how KAAI grows globally.

 

Location: Antwerp (in –office role)

What you’ll own

  • Full ownership of brand, marketing communication and e-commerce
  • Strategic development of KAAI’s brand story around the KAAI women community
  • End-to-end overview of all:
  • Product launches
  • Campaigns
  • Influencer & community marketing
  • Events & experiences
  • Collaborations & partnerships
  • Ensuring the voice of the KAAI women community is reflected across all channels

 

 Community at the Core

  • Grow, engage and activate the KAAI women community as the foundation of our marketing
  • Translate community insights into:
  • Campaign concepts
  • Create words & images that makes women curious to experience KAAI bags online, in our shops and at our retail partners
  • Product storytelling
  • Events and collaborations
  • Build long-term relationships with ambassadors, creators and partners

 

Team & Partner Leadership

  • Lead and coach a small, multidisciplinary in-house team:
  • Social Media
  • eCRM / Copywriting
  • Performance Marketing
  • Graphic Design
  • Interns
  • Inspire the team to balance creativity, performance and community
  • Manage and align international PR agencies (US, BE, NL, UK, DE)
  • Work closely with our digital coach and internal tech lead

 

 

 Hands-on Marketing & E-commerce Execution

  • Translate strategy into clear briefs, fast execution and tangible results
  • Stay closely involved in:
  • Campaign concepts and creative direction
  • Community and influencer activations
  • E-commerce launches and online storytelling
  • Collaborate closely with performance marketing, tech lead and CRM to strengthen customer journeys
  • Ensure marketing, content (including Product content online), community and e-commerce move as one

 

 

 Planning, Ownership & Scale-up Mindset

  • Own the marketing calendar, priorities and budgets
  • Balance creativity with deadlines, resources and impact
  • Move fast: test, learn, iterate
  • Switch easily between big-picture thinking and daily execution

 

 

 Who we’re looking for

  • 8-10 years experience in brand, marketing or communication within a scale-up, challenger brand or agency
  • Strong people manager who is also hands-on
  • Natural community builder with a strong feel for brand storytelling
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, pragmatic, ownership-driven
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus)
